Research Students

• 大学院で修士もしくは博士の学位を取得することを目的としたプログラムです。

• 総合国際学位プログラムと専門法務研究科以外の大学院で、受け入れを行っています。

• 応募には、千葉大学の教員からの受け入れ許可を得ている必要があります。

• 指導言語は各教員によって異なりますので、受け入れ許可を得る段階で、教員に確認しておきましょう。

• 大使館推薦で応募をした学生は、正規課程への入学前に、半年間の日本語予備教育を受講することができます。

※研究留学生は、渡日前までに、大学院の入学試験に合格し、入学手続きを済ませる必要があります。詳細は指導教員に確認しましょう。

• This program is designed for students aiming to obtain a Master’s or Doctoral degree. 

• Applications are accepted at graduate schools other than "Graduate Degree Program of Global and Transdisciplinary Studies" and "Law School". 

• To apply, you must first obtain an acceptance from a faculty member at Chiba University. 

• Since the language of instruction varies depending on the professor, please confirm the preferred language when seeking their informal acceptance.  

• Students who apply through the Embassy Recommendation track are eligible to take a six-month intensive Japanese language preparatory education prior to enrolling in their regular degree program.

*Research students must pass the graduate school entrance examination and complete the enrollment procedures before arriving in Japan. Please consult with your academic advisor for further details. 

大使館推薦 Embassy Recommendation

まずは、居住国の在外公館による試験を通過する必要があります。応募条件やスケジュールはお住まいの国・地域の在外公館へ確認してください。

在外公館での1次試験を通過した方は、各大学に内諾取り付け依頼を行います。本学への内諾取り付け受付期間は、毎年7月～9月です。（文部科学省のスケジュールにより変化します。）内諾取り付け依頼は留学生課で取りまとめますので、直接希望の指導教員に依頼をしないようにしてください。（大学推薦と異なるので注意）

Applicants must apply to the Japanese embassy (or consulates general)  in their country of residence and pass the examination. Please confirm the application requirements, necessary documents, and schedule with the Japanese embassy (or consulates general) . 

Those who have passed the first screening must request a "Letter of Provisional Acceptance" from their desired universities.  At Chiba university, the application period for requesting "Letter of Provisional Acceptance" is generally from July to September each year (subject to change based on MEXT's schedule). International Student Division centralizes all requests for "Letter of Provisional Acceptance"; please do not contact your desired academic advisor directly at this stage. (Please note that this process differs from the "University Recommendation" track.) 

大学推薦 University Recommendation

最初に、希望する指導教員に直接コンタクトをとり、その教員から受け入れ許可を得ましょう。留学生課では、学生への教員の紹介は行っていません。（大使館推薦と異なるので注意）

各学部のウェブサイトなどを参考に、自分でコンタクトをとりましょう。教員の探し方については、以下の「教員の探し方」をご覧ください。

受け入れ許可を得た学生は、次に『渡日前奨学金申請登録制度』に登録する必要があります。この制度に登録した学生の中から、千葉大学において選考を行い、上位の者を文部科学省に推薦します。

『渡日前奨学金申請登録制度』への受付期間は、毎年１１月～１２月です。

First, you must contact your desired academic advisor directly and obtain their acceptance. International Student Division does not provide introductions to faculty members. (Please note that this process differs from the "Embassy Recommendation" track.)  

Please refer to the websites of each faculty/graduate school to find and contact a potential advisor on your own. For information on how to find a researcher, please refer to the "How to Find an Academic Advisor" section below. 

Once you have obtained informal acceptance, you are then required to register for the "Pre-arrival Scholarship Application Registration System."  Chiba university will conduct a selection process from among the students registered in this system and will recommend the top candidates to the MEXT. 

The registration period for the "Pre-arrival Scholarship Application Registration System" is from November to December each year.
